is it easier to get a couple 2nd hand td04-13's and use a upgrade and rebuild kit to get these or just buy new?

day dreaming of 13b's , huge ports and suicide doors, and a few other things too I cant say here.
i guess it would be best to use google, and just compare pricing
I was looking at it a while back - you may need the housings to be modified to fit the 19t wheel.
I see a 19T upgrade for a pair of gto
turbo's on trademe.. just a tad out of reach for me right now. but i can wait... I am sure Its worth the wait.

It all depends how cheap you can source Subaru turbos. If you get them cheap, i.e. 60 GBP each, then it's better to source -19T CHRA with cold side casing (on eBay approx. 220 GBP each), so in total you close bill for 300 GBP per turbo. Still a bit cheaper than whole complete TD04-19T.
Ex: Galant VR4
Running 268 HP ATW and 443 Nm torque at 0.9 bar
Now: Lancer Evolution 8 FQ-300
Running 325 HP ATW and 510 Nm torque at 1.6 bar
If you are serious about doing it then buy new.... the price of your turbos will be insignificant compared to what you will end up spending anyway
how much power you wanting from your car?
also notice the trademe link you posted doesnt include the turbine housings. so 1600 bucks for 2/3rds of 2 turbos.
Im my plan im going to use 2 garretts.

bve happy with 350 atw
You would be better off buying second hand Subaru TD04's, or buying GTO ones and getting the parts off eBay then getting a turbo place to finish the job.
Here're go:

That plus any used Subaru turbos.
I don't know where 1600 bucks spending coming from Adam...
