    Ayc problem

Hi all, the ayc on my recently acquired legnum is messing about, sometimes it'll work fine but more often than not the red ayc light comes on
When i bought it from Mastercarper he told me it was messing about but he had all the components replaced, pump, lines, switch etc but was still messing about
Anyone have any ideas what the problem could be, I'm guessing it's an electrical problem considering the parts that have been replaced
    Cheers in advance

Was it mentioned whether the pump replacement was new or second-hand?

If the switch has been replaced with an adjustable one, is it the correct one for the pump and has it been adjusted at all?

I think the pump was a second hand unit and I'm not sure about the switch to be honest nev, how would you adjust the switch mate?

that is the problem with not knowing the actually history of a car, you will have to do the work all over again to be sure the parts fitted are correct and are working.

you can test certain things with evoscan like the pump making pressure the left and right solenoide valve operating, ect.
it is a starting place if nothing else.

    Bye for Now!

Does the tcl light appear on start up?
The most usual issue with the electrical side of the ayc system is the relay, mounted on the inner wing to the side of the battery.

I'd check the bulb in the dash next then. You probably are toggling the TCL on and off but the bulb is blown. There is a small chance that there is a tcl issue which isn't being highlighted because the bulb is blown.

If it's an adjustable one (possibly one of mine) these will be an adjuster screw between the terminals. Unscrew 1/2 a turn at a time if need be.

Had a look at my ayc today and found the two wires that go to the switch had snapped, crimped new spade connectors on them and result it works as it should now, bonus
