10th Event - Location and Numbers.

As some of you may already know, next year is Club VR4's 10th year of existence, to celebrate this we will be holding what will hopefully be the largest event in our history, we are hoping that not only current members attend but also some old friends from the years gone by (if you know them, pass on the message)

I would like to get a feel of who is attending and the location of all attendees, from this I shall better determine regional location of event and size of venue required.

Please can you firstly select your location (where you live) from the voting buttons at the top and then respond with the number of people attending from your side (adults and children), don't forget that this is a family event and as such are more than welcome.

I will keep this thread open for 1 week, after which I will start looking for venues in a central location based on the information collected, please text, phone or otherwise invite old members or members who frequent the site less frequently to come onto the site and respond.

If you have any suggestions for a venue (hotel) or location for photo shoot please respond here and not in this thread, don’t forget that most likely this event will be somewhere in the area surrounding Birmingham.

Well, you know I'm biased to Birmingham / West Midlands as I live here

I would say maybe there's a better option of "how far are you willing to travel?" style voting? I figure, if it's gonna cost more than a single tank of fuel per direction, it may not be worth it to some people.

That puts most people circa 200 miles (control your right foot people!) from their homes, I'll try and get a map of that..

Not sure how well this will be received, it's a big ugly even if I do say so myself;

The following shows 200 mile radius's around major points of the UK, each one is colour coded (red, yellow, green, blue) however overlaying colours mix into each other so it's not always clear, use the markers as an indication where a radius circle starts.

Nottingham seems to cover most of England within a 200 mile radius but only a fraction of Scotland, York better covers the Scots at the expense of the southern coastal areas of England...

Would be two adults for us, and am also biased a little to the West Midlands, however, I am prepared to make a journey up or down the country as long as I can get there and back on a tank of fuel so about 150-180 miles each way.

Plenty enough time to get my car in showroom condition for the photoshoot. I'd like to have the blingiest car there

Didnt notice the fun bit , but also seeing as its still a long way away, and with our plans looking as they are over the next year, I'm up for a proper bash! Even if it means a couple of tanks of fuel to get there!
