    A very very sad day.

Guys it's with a heavy heart and a lot of sadness that I have to say I'm going to be putting my VR4 up for sale very soon. They were my dream car from when i saw my first one in 1997 to finally owning one in 2008 and loving driving it for the last four years.

But sadly Mrs PoM and I (to a lesser extent) have decided its time to buy something smaller and more efficient while we save for a house and wedding.
I went to put the deposit down today on our "new" car. if anyones interested its THIS. But rest assured I'll not be leaving the club and the wonderful people that make this the greatest car owners forum anywhere in the world!

If anyone knows of anyone looking for a galoon send them my way!!

    Much love to you all
    Andy

sacrifices have to be made to move on, i have sold alot of things including the car to move on myself .

am sure you will get over the loss of your car when you look back at your wedding day whilst sitting in your new home .#

remember you dont need a vr4 to pop along to the club

You'll sell the car but never leave the forum no one escapes. You also get the craving for a turbo again, but probably buy one which is easier to tune.

I keep going down the sensible route and this is my order of cars since the VR4

    VR4, Saloon, MAP ECU, Aftermaket Intercooler, 3 " Exhaust,etc ( cant remember)
    E46 M3 SMG, remapped to 350 bhp
    E46 M3 Manual Convertible, Standard
Jeep Grand Cherokee, remapped to 276 bhp
EVO 8 Fq 300 remapped to 380 bhp
Vauxhall Insignia works car, 800 miles to a tank of diesel I was amazed.

And now a JDM Subaru Impreza STI, Bugeye, standard until thursday.

As you can see I never really found the sensible route.

    Its an addiction.

Awww thanks guys im going nowhere i love it here and someone has to keep up a certain ammount of sillyness here to stop it all getting far to serious!!
as for the smart being fast sadly it isnt it has a 999cc engine pushing out a whopping 71bhp (oh dear god) there is a turbo model available that puts out 84bhp but it pushes the tax up from FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE to £30 per year and drops the fuel economy from 65mpg to 54mpg. on the plus side it is Metalic melon (green) and you can change the colour for £600 in less than two hours!!!

Sad day Andy but comes to most of us in the end. Nearly 3 years since I owned a VR4 even sold the Scooby now.
Gone all sensible now with Seat Leon Cupra for a bit until the urge bites again. Still keep looking at VR4's and was almost tempted a couple of months ago. I think an M3 might be on the books at some time in the future.
