    Baffled oil sump

Does anyone have or looked into a baffle for our oil sump? I dont believe Ive ever seen an aftermarket baffled sump so modifying the existing one seems the easiest thing to do. I havent seen inside the sump itself so theres also the question of whether the standard item is sufficient however I would like to improve it where possible to be absolutely sure theres no oil starvation.

There's no baffles in there from memory. It's pretty much flat.

no baffles but the accual bottom part of the sump is pretty small so not far the oil can go.

I had my sump off at the weekend... and I can confirm that the inside the tin part is absolutely flat.

Sounds like theres some for improvement then..... I dont suppose someone has a photo of the inside or even a spare one lying around? I need to use my car pretty much every day so if I have some idea what to do before I take mine off I can get it running again much sooner!

I've got one floating about somewhere. I'll try and get some photos this weekend.

I'm looking for a new one, but when my old one comes off (it was oil-tight when it came off but I don't want to use it) - someone can have it for testing with and destroying
