Sorry Marc, I know you asked me for it MONTHS ago! I know its there somewhere... I'll eventually get to it as I have loads of bits to get rid of or sell!

Anyway, back to the day, massive thanks to Jason for popping round for the day. It was a massive help to get the work started and have a little bit of fun at the expense of the breaker. I'm sure he will be on soon with some pics/vids.

Managed to get the roof, pillars, and back end of the car cut up into bitesized chunks which I can transport to the scrap man. The grinder busted itself halfway through the afternoon, so I still have the front end and floor to cut up, but that should hopefully be the easy bits which I'll get to over the next week (or two).

Thanks also to Chris (probably spelt your name wrong dude, sorry) for coming in the afternoon. Again that was a great help to kick out the back end of the car out!

Sounds like you guys had fun nothing better than cutting a car up. If I had been several hundred mile closer I would have cone along, if only to try out some of our new kit! We have now got what rhd fire brigade have " jaws of life ", they cur throughout pretty much everything we have thrown at them, and they are battery operated! Haven't tested it on an actually vehicle yet though!

Just thought I'd let you know that the hire shop gave me a discount for the lost day of use due to the grinder packing up. Ended up getting those three used discs for free as I only paid the £17 for the hire - a saving of £12 for the three discs.

I'll be tackling the left over bits this weekend hopefully. If not, it'll be in June!
