    I am pretty sure that the failure is exactly that - a tooth breaks off, gets wedged in the next lot of teeth and the force between the teeth then often cracks or even explodes the casing.

    The only reason I can see that the SAYC units are lasting longer/better/with more power is that the crown and pinion teeth are bigger and fewer. The actual casing is near identical, so if the issue were casing flex we would have seen an SAYC break by now.

    Guys need help ASAP, For some reason one of the rear differential bolt went missing.
    Any one knows what type of bolt it is? like the size ? M12 ? ? its the one like its made for draining oil or something like that.

    Stock Diff is long gone.
    But I went to the local Mitsubishi dealer and found the bolt yesterday.
    So, all is OK.
