    Mass air flow Vs

Quick question to the hardcore tuners. I do not want to run a map2ecu. Would swapping out the Maf in the vr4 and replacing with another Mitsubishi. Maf have any adverse effects on mileage performance etc. I know about the screw at the bottom to increase air intake what else should I be concerned with.

There's better people to answer your question than me, but it might be helpful to know why you want to swap one MAF for another?

Ok my Maf is bad and I can get an evo 5 Maf or mitsubishi chariot Maf on island. I will still buy vr4 Maf if I get one in the. Fs section but really wanted to know. If I order it from uk it still will take 3 -4 weeks to reach the island.

you will need to rescale the maps, to suit a different maf (retune)

you run the risk of running very rich, or too lean.

its not going to be a plug in and just drive job.
