Mine is in place, fitted it a long time ago, I had it on my last Legnum, and transferred it over to my new one, it went in there fine. I used a standard Legnum bottle with two pumps.
I had to fit a low water level unit to it, (wired to an led in dash)
Intercooler spray, I got atomising jets so it creates a fine mist infront of the intercooler.
My WI pump is fitted right beside the bottle so very short distances between bottle and pump and nozzle in post cooler intake pipe.
Intercooler spray is activated automatically when meth injection starts, (or can be switched separately)
Updating Soon!! 1998 Legnum VR4, fully serviced every 4500 miles. Fully Amsoil'd. Falken 453's, EVO 8 FQ320 rear diff.

My cunning plan is to not only use these variables but also about 4 others to determine when to spray, or not...

However, I need more time to work on solution before I'm happy it will work.
My ebc works on boost to trigger the output so if you set it to 12psi it will trigger the output at 12psi, if that is too late then I can set it to a lower valve so when 12 psi is reached it is already spraying. I could set it to 8psi so when it triggers it would have been sparying for a second or so before 12psi is reached.
Surely that would be the effect you are looking for.

But this is your project and implementing it in the way you want o do it is half the fun. Everybody will have there one ideas and reasons for wanting it done in a particular way.

    Bye for Now!

Yeah, I've toyed worth that idea too, lowering the trigger point brings other problems, main one being the excess use of water.

I have a couple weeks till NW meet, should be enough time to come to a more final plan that I can share

I removed my big washer bottle a while ago. I now run a 1l bottle for the front, mounted elsewhere in the engine bay, and a seperate one in the boot for the rear.

Where in the engine bay did you put the front one? I was thinking of using one of these http://www.rhdjapan.com/trust-greddy-washer-tank-53957 to free up the space where the stock bottle is.

Here is a universal kit £15 3L tank.

all you need extra is a relay and something to trigger the relay.

Anyone know what psi the standard pump runs at? If not, how could I measure it?

Ok, I found a water pressure gauge on eBay, could possibly buy that.

However does anyone have one, with maybe a few minutes to plug the water pump pipe from water bottle in and test for me?

    Thanks

Depends on the flow. It'll deliver max pressure at zero flow and max flow at zero pressure.

Edit: I reckon the pump in my ebay kit has more squirt than the stock one.

I need figures though, a PSI level - the jets I'm looking at have a min level they are optimal at.

Cheers for that, unfortunately I can't see pSI figures.

Hopefully someone has a water gauge so I can do some proper calculations. I.e. how many nozzles can be used.

What do you need the psi figures for?, are you using as a priming pump, or for intercooler spray?

For intercooler, some of the mist nozzles I found have a min PSI rating of 40, so if I get tem and the pump only delivers say...20PSI it's not going to work...

Hmm, I am using misting jets (which do exactly that!), mine are from a kit that is designed for making biodiesel, £4 for two, and they have adjustable misting, by turning the nozzle, (like a garden hose)

Interesting, how they perform with the water bottle pump? How many jets do you have and how are they linked?

Also, any links to the nozzles you purchased?

    Sorry for question onslaught

It all works fine. The jets are about 6mm diameter and 30mm long and have screen washer type hose fittings. They produce a very fine mist. One each side simed to criss cross infront of cooler.

I will try and find a link.
NOT the ones in Ryans link lol, they would be good for washing thecar on the move

I would really appreciate that, really struggling finding low PSI ones.
