Car Description
Car History
Bought the car just over a year ago, since then its been tidied up a fair bit and had money spent on it in the year ive had it making it a nicer car.
Its EOI for now as it had my cherished plate on it which ive just moved to another car so once the documents come back into my hand itll be ready to drive away. Plate is NOT included and it will be back in its 'P' plate (itll have brand new legal import sized plates made up for it)
1997 Trigger Mauve VR-4 estate, full factory tints, cloth interior, wood dash trim (has all been Carbon Fibre covered), 128k on the clock however i dont know how many in KM's but 3.5 years of it are KMs at least as it was imported in late 2000.
Just been MOT'd (expiry 2nd May 2013) and taxed for 6 months (expiry 10/12)
It had front wheel bearings at MOT, which was all it needed for test.
recent: offside caliper, lower front arms, brake pipes, battery.
Exhaust is about 10 months old, and is quite loud, not too bad but it can set off car alarms at particular revs im afraid
Modifications.
Mods include:
Piston BOV (unknown make but it works very well)
Apexi Induction Cone
Apexi SAFC
Custom Stainless downpipes
Stainless Decat
Custom SS exhaust 3" straight through
Bilsteins all round with unknown drop in ride height (but its pretty low)
Rear strut brace (one up front too of course but thats standard)
18" Wedssport SA-55's in satin black with stacks of tread left
CRN grooved discs and Mintex 1144's all round
Blitz Dual Turbo Timer / Boost gauge combined
interior wood is covered with carbon Di-Noc
Ralliart gearknob
Other information.
it has some carbon fibre vinyl and a ralliart boot badge so it must have 700 bhp now...... joking aside, BHP is unknown as i havent had it on the rollers so i wont make claims, but it is quicker than some others ive been in, and it seems to breathe quite well with good response, so id say power is up on standard.
Bad bits
AYC light is on, however it works in cold weather (0 and below) so im guessing it just needs adjustment. ive never bothered as i quite like it with AYC off :-pp. the fluids were done when i got it which included AYC and looking now its nice and new looking (which it would be as lights been on since other than winter)
Taps like all other VR-4's which dont have the 3mm lash adjuster upgrade.
Front bumper is missing the tow eye cover and there is a chip off the plastic just there too (about 25mm)
stone chips on front bumper and lower bonnet as is quite usual. some fact of life chips and scuffs here and there, a couple tiny car park dings that you can only see at a certain angle.
some surface rust appearing at the rear nearside arch, NOT rotten or too noticeable but must mention it.
Load cover missing from boot.
*currently suspect the nearside caliper is sticking a bit, will get another on there asap (the offside was done a few months back)
