    10th Event - Buffet numbers

    All,

I'm costing food at the minute for the party, i recall for wedding a figure that you should work to when deciding on how may heads to feed.

From memory, im sure it was about 75% or 80% of the total number coming - So for example, if 150 people are attending, you'd order food for 120.

    Anyone able to confirm?

It's not finalised, but lunch buffet will be about 12/1ish and evening buffet about 5/6/7 ish.

Ah, 2 buffets? You could probably lose a few numbers then, but I'm not sure I'd lose too many. I think that when having a wedding there is an assumption that the buffet won't be the main meal, so you can reduce the quantites for the buffet.

Hah, to throw a spanner in the works, with Asian weddings, you tend to have to order more than the expected attendees! Like if you send out 200 invites, you'd order food for about 250 people!

One thing i cant understand, if Atik is as fat as he is eating curry, why am i three times his size, and i probably eat more curry than he does? . By the way, sounds about right Barry. How much food do you normally chuck away after a do? Loads in my experience.

The lunch time buffet sounds like a good idea but not the evening one. I myself would prefer a proper meal in the evening.
The mighty Leedsnum has gone but the Airtrek mods will soon fill this space
