Castrol Edge

Well the oil change time is almost upon me, was lookign about at a different oil this time to my regular Millers XFS 5w40. Castrol edge was £17.95 p/l in local shops but i spotted Mitsi in Derry selling it for £10.95p/l. Is it good stuff & should i change from 5w40? Currently got a full exhaust system with decat, running 1bar with grade 7 plugs, k&n panel filter

Yes. And that's a good price. What grade is it? 0w-30?

they were selling me both 5w30 & 0w30 for £10.95p/l, i spotted online though someone selling edge 4L for £29. Should i change from 5w40 to 0w30 or safer staying with 5w40?

Go with AMSOIL recommendation...?

0W30

Many many VR4 owners in the UK use that grade, and Don of Amsoil fame says it is impossible to make a bad 0W30, regardless of the brand.

Over here in NZ a few of us have used the 5w30 Castrol Edge and it seems to be pretty decent - although it's gone up in price.
