    Fault code help needed

    i have codes

    tcl 67 =aps systematic 13h-8
    asc67= aps system

    ayc 41=tps system [broke wire short circuit] approx 27-20
    .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. ...........

    1:whats the aps system 13h-8?

    2: is the ayc code for throttle position sensor,and whats approx 27-20?

    any help appreciated

    The aps is the Accelerator Position Switch. On TCL cars it is the switch on the throttle body at the bulkhead side, opposite the TPS.

    to answer question 1 the 13h-8 is the flow chart in the jap workshop manual that will tell you how to test for the faulty part.
    the manual is a jap one so you will need translate the bits you want to read.

    i found an old thread which i think yourself had posted the actual chart that i needed to sort it.

    got rid of those three went for a blast and now i have 4 different faults

    the bit of rust i had on my old legnum doesnt seem so bad now ,far away hills and all that.

    i presume i need flow charts for these also dave,if so where are these charts located ?

    right from memory i think these are the issues, but you need to specify which code are from which warning light, i have made some assumption but it should be correct.

    12 engine warninig light, is probable MAF, have you unplugged it while the engine was running or forgot to plug it back in after dosconnecting it. just give it a push back on and make sure it clicks in place, it is easy not to push it all the home and cause and error code to be generated.

    24 engine warninig light, is the speed sensor signal used to activate the 112mph speed limiter. quite often you will find the wire to the ecu has been cut to delimit the speed of the car. this is not a problem as it only gives this code and does nothing else.

    82 AYC warninig light, is the AYC pump fail, possible pressure, change to adjustable pressure switch, possibly something else.

    75 engine warninig light, engine ecu, this could be related to one of the other error code and when you clear that the 75 code will go as well. probably the 12 code MAF related

    i didnt unplug the maf but i have a safc connected not sure if that would do it.i have a spare maf

    have a good pump also ,ill check speed sensor cable also just for my own sake.would like to have all the faults known.

    hopefully 75 goes with the others as you said.

    If you haven't set the SAFC to the correct maf option it will throw a fault and the car will not run correctly
    Ask a simple question, never receive an answer these days

    Set to karman so it should be ok.
    ill try the maf later to see if it clears .
    Will the speed sensor wire bring on the eml by itself if its cut?

    No, cutting the speed limiter cable does not bring on the check engine light. It just stores a code. I am pretty sure that is true of any speedo connection being bad, but don't quote me.

    changed maf and all lights except ayc are out.so hopefully swap pumps next week and the super should be super.
