    EC1W Cross member

My friends has EC1W legnum with 1800 cc engine, its AWD legnum. he is breaking the legnum for swap 6a13 n/a engine. the 1800 cc gdi suffer from gdi pump failure hence engine swap. he dont want to swap it with 6a13tt engine. When i saw the cross member, it was made from alloy, quite interested. I think it was great weight reduction for swapping for EC5A cross member which made from cast iron with EC1W cross member. anybody already done this? I think i wanna look for one on yahoo auction, who knows i might get one

I have had one in my VR-4 for about 4 years or so. It doesn't get a great deal of mileage so there still isn't any indication of long term longevity.

I doubt anyone will advise you get one, in case it does break. From memory it is between 10kg and 20kg different in weight.
