no the car runs grate cant understand it, the car past a mot so the senser in the cat is ok i had it on the comp the other day n it said it was the lambda

Which model of car? Which engine? What year? Who read the codes and how?
its a 2002, 2.5 galant, it was the garage with a code reader
Generic OBD-II code readers don't work properly on our cars, as although they use the OBD-II connectors, they run Mitsibishi's proprietary MUT-II/III protocol.
You only need a bit of wire or a paperclip to read the codes. There is a guide here, although if you can't read that, you can search the guides on eBay and there is a guide about how to read Mitsubishi codes.

Also... have you cleared the codes after changing the sensor? This is easily done by removing the battery (or the appropriate ECU fuse) for a few minutes. Then - only "new" error codes will be stored.
when i put the new senser in a took the battery off then put in bk on and the light went out then came bk on, a dont under stand it
