V6 PFL (4-stud) stock wheel size, offset, etc?

    Hello!

I've browsed many threads, but I haven't found any specific information about the PFL 4-stud 15" wheels that come standard on the Galant N/A V6 saloon.

    These:

Does anyone know if they're ET35, 15x6 on 205/60 tires?

Reason I ask is because I've been offered a set of EVO X BBS replicas that are ET40 17x7 and I was planning on buying this set and 215/45 tires, but I'm afraid the offset diference might cause me trouble with brake clearance or maybe rubbing somewhere.

FIY, the wheels are identical to these:

    Cheers!

To be honest, I would suspect that the standard 15" wheels to have an offset of about +45.

Either way, ET40 17" wheels with 215/45 tyres will fit just fine, without any clearance issues. I would be highly surprised if that design of wheel would cause any problems with clearing standard V6 brakes.

I'd have to double check the exact offset, but the wheels we have on our V6 are 17x7 with an offset of about 40 anyway, with 215/45 tyres. We have no clearance issues at all.

You can see how they sit in these pictures:

That looks superb! Much better than the tiny 15" wheels I have on my V6!

Yes, the 15s do look a little small for what is quite a large saloon. The style of alloy wheel also makes them look a little smaller too!

    Yep, the wheels I have in mind are 4 x 114 and 4 x 100 (multi-stud fitment).

im guessing you have a PFL V6 if it has 15s as the 2001 V6 i bought had stock 17s and i put 18s on. no clearance issues at all. they are not in order but the pics show the standard 17s, then 18s and finally 18s with coilovers fitted

UPDATE: the wheels are not 17x7, they're 17x7,5 -- no clearance issues, right? :-P

    I'll be using 215/45 Tires!

    Cheers
