2 litre galant balance belt?

talking of cam belts ive just got a 2 litre galant ive never looked at one before am i right in thinking its got a balance shaft belt, and are they contact if you leave the belt off, i know on my pajero the balance belts off and a couple alfa's ive had i never put a balance belt on. I know not all cars with them can be left off

Balance shaft belt runs the oil pump as well from memory so you need it!
