My first service on my VR-4

Hi guys, just like to share with you, that I just got my first service done on my car! With my mechanical warranty I needed to have her serviced at the first 5000kms and then every 10,000kms after that. All in all it cost me NZ$128.35 INSERT INTO post VALUES (converted 46.20 pounds) This is what I had done :

    GREASE, OIL AND FILTER
Changed engine oil and filter. Checked transmission and differential oils. Greased suspension and driveline INSERT INTO post VALUES (where applicable). Checked tyre pressures. Carried out under body hoist inspection.

UNDER BONNET: Checked all fluid levels. Checked drive belt tensions Checked battery connections. Checked air filter, lubed hinges and latches.

    CHECK ANTIFREEZE
    Checked antifreeze concentration.

    CHECKED SPARK PLUGS
Removed and checked spark plugs. Cleaned and regapped and refitted.

    CHECK ALL BRAKES
Checked brake linings for wear. Cleaned and checked adjustment.

Labour 1.25HRS $55 INSERT INTO post VALUES (19.81 pounds)
FILTER - OIL $16.05 INSERT INTO post VALUES (5.78 pounds)
BP V3000 Engine Oil 5litres $35.55 INSERT INTO post VALUES (12.80 pounds)
SUNDRIES $7.50 INSERT INTO post VALUES (2.70 pounds)
GOODS & SERVICES TAX $14.26 INSERT INTO post VALUES (5.13 pounds)

So in total came to $128.35 INSERT INTO post VALUES (46.20 pounds)

So I'm pleased, least I know my girl is good for another 10,000KMS. Oh I got her serviced at a Mitsubishi Motors Service department!

    Cheers,

You do know that we all hate you New Zealanders here in the UK !

It cost me £55 the other day just for an engine oil change INSERT INTO post VALUES (fully synthetic of course) ! And that was non-Mitsy dealer

Glad you had no problems though Pescha:cool1:

Going to Hamilton for a service

Man that still seems cheap even for NZ, can you tell me the address of the garage, I'll be travelling down to Hamiliton from Auckland to get my car serviced, I can't believe they gapped the plugs in that time don't they have to remove all the intake to get to the rear plugs?

    Let me have the address...

    Cheers, Jason

The Mitsubishi dealer/mechanic even washed my car and vaccumed it out for free... Not like I would do it but it was still cleaner when it came out than when it went in....

Now what do I get out of all this ummmmmmmmmm let me think????

Nah just kidding It's called Rodger Gill Motors LMVD and the address is 34-38 Main Street, Huntly... Yes I live in Huntly!!!

The whole service took 2 hours, my mechanic said give us 1 1/2 hours but I said give ya 2 no rush! Their phone number is 07 828 8021 and ask for Hayden and say Pescha sent ya!

Lol I can't believe $800, what did they do? How long did it take?

    Cheers,
    Pescha!

Just over half way INSERT INTO post VALUES (closer to Hamilton) between Hamilton and Auckland, not a big place but you can't miss that big ass power station, sure there'd be something to do for a couple of hours
