Looking fo standard dump valve replacemant but dont have much experiance.
What dump valve would be recommended for higher boost and do all cheap dump valves are not worth to look at?

If you want noise most people here go for the Sard R2D2 or HKS SSQV. These can affect fuel economy though.

A good replacement for the standard recirc is a metal one off an Evo, or a decent aftermarket recirc dump valve.

Keep in mind that BOVs like the HKS SSQV also have recirc options. Your best and probably cheapest option will be a metal recirc valve from a later Evo.

Will this one be a good replacement for stock one?

Yes, that's the metal recirc valve as used on most Evos.

How would I go about setting my ssqv to recirc? Need it a bit more stealthy!

You buy the recric adapter end for it, it replaces the fins at the exit of the ssqv

IIRC, stock Evo dv has plastic casing (identical to ours). The only difference is vacuum outlet and spring rate.
    Ex: Galant VR4
Running 268 HP ATW and 443 Nm torque at 0.9 bar
    Now: Lancer Evolution 8 FQ-300
Running 325 HP ATW and 510 Nm torque at 1.6 bar

I might be wrong but I seem to remember the EVO VIII MR onwards had metal BOV?

Yes, my mistake earlier. Metal BOVs for Evo VIII onwards, except for the EVO VIII MR (260), which is plastic (but newer than a VR-4 one - I have one!).

    Me too .
Evo stock in plastic case. Much stronger spring and quicker response. Very happy with one and would recommend anyone.
SARD BOV is for occasional show , but serious driving or rolling road always done with that dv.
