The plot thickens lol.
Rang Ebony & Ivory, who only have 2 Autos left, and they told me once those have sold they won't be getting any Legnums in again.

If manual VR-4 essential then could consider Saloons on PH...
I don't really like the Galants in honesty, the Legnums look better.
Not true, easy as pie. I bought my Evo in Ireland. used Shiply.com to get it here. Cost me £200. Sit back and wait for the transporter to arrive at your front door. Then costs £50 to register it on UK plates.
Bonnet easily changed, in light of all the service history and shed loads of work done to it I wouldnt let that put me off. This car has proven dyno figures too. I bet you would spend more going to Cornwall and back to pick a car up!
Edit and there are quite a few established members on here who could vouch for this car!
Still here somewhere........
So its a Legnum, manual, decent appearance and wheels, easy travelling distance, with service history and not needing modification to get it to your desired spec and condition...
Not a long want list then
If you check my reply to your other thread then you will see that the manual one on PH could be the one you want. Like I said on the other thread the owner is a member on here but not active, the car has had all the major belts etc done and even has coilovers and a few other mods. For the money it's a bargain imo considering its a factory manual Legnum. Yes its a bit of a trek but I have travelled far for the right car and will be doing it again very shortly.
I've already explained to Brendan that after the images I received I'd want to view it myself in person, which isn't going to be possible for some time so it was better to bow out than waste his time.
I'm sure you can appreciate, it has to be right. The less I need to do the better, both servicing and modification wise. Distance is only an issue if I drive to the other end of the country and find out it's not as described. That would mightily piss me off.
Gaz, we have all been there at one time or other trying to find the right car...
We appreciate the effort and time needed and the standards we set to find 'our' vehicle...
All,
It's clear that Gareth wants a Manual car, let's respect that and leave the auto vs manual discussion for another thread.
Thanks

I don't see why everyone keeps banging on about "trying an auto". If you want a manual, and are willing to wait, good on you!
Personally I would never buy an auto vr4 - and yes I have driven plenty!! And I'm not an auto hater. Both my airtrek turbo and corvette are autos, I just don't like the vr4 as an auto.

I've ended up having to buy a torqueless Honda to tide me over. Keeping an eye out but the house purchase is going tits up and eating the bloody car fund.
you should of just bought my car and changed the box at a later date
Nah. I'd have never got it done due to money and laziness.
Still keeping a loose eye out. This Vtec nonsense is wearing very thin.

I know of a Facelift, Manual with LPG Conversion that will be coming up for sale very, very soon
Please say it's not Silver! LPG would get binned off, there's nowhere locally sells the stuff. Let us know when it's available.
Could be intrested in the lpg
My **** Honda is broken. It's getting fixed and sold.
A super tidy manual that's not Silver would be great! I'm going to be super picky though, I'm seriously bored of blowing money fixing up supposedly mint cars.
