white smoke?

hey guys just need some ideas on this been told its valve seals?its got a vr4 block with a evo head and when i start it up and its fine its not smoking or anything but once it gets warm it starts smoking white smoke (water)? from the exhaust not lots of it but u can see it at the lights if the wind blows your way. and it puffs a little bit when the wastegate opens when i put my foot down??any ideas any one know of any good vr4 mechanics in auckland?not doing any thing to the performance just want it fixed before i get it tuned again

Is it using water?

Generally White = Water, Blue = Oil, Black = Fuel. I'd check to see if it's blue or white and check if it's using oil or water and go from there.

If it's not using coolant then it's probably just condensation in the exhaust. Does it still do it after an hour or so's driving?

thanks i dont think its using water only bought it yesterday but it doesnt do it straight away only once it warms up or sitting at the lights or stuck in trafick not even really when i put my foot down and its deffinitly white its not that thick either

Makes me think more if it being condensation.

mine gets condensation, usually when it hasnt been driven for a day or more, clears up after a thrash, if its been sitting a while itl take a fair bit to get rid of it all, and it will prob smoke a bit until it is all clear

Yep thats what has happened to mine, been sitting about a month lol

ok cheers it has been sitting for a while before i bought it so i hope its just that . that would be awsome i think its a good score for 5 grand
