Source for new front CV's

Hey fellow NZ/Auckland friends.

Anyone know where i can get new CV joints for a good price in Auckland? Im after the front ones. Going to replace this weekend as i have been hearing a slight clicking noise from the drivers side front.

Cheers Carsten! Have you replaced a front CV before? Is it much work?

havent on mine(but i have done them) its a fairly simple job,

which cv you doing? inner or outer?

HAha i really dont know, all i know is a i have a click noise in the front drivers side.. hmmm maybe it will be cheaper to look for a good second hand complete drive shaft?

Does it click while turning? If so its the outer

the inner is easy to do, dont think the outer can be done, but i may be wrong, couldnt get it apart when doing outer boot replacement, fairly easy to get the shaft out if necessary, just keep undoing stuff till you make space haha

As said: Inner is easy, outer CV can be done. Either with some luck + a big hammer (I have managed to succeed in only one out of 3 this way) and the other option is cutting the entire thing off. Or... as I have recently bought, use this tool, which will get it loose:

It clicks while im driving straight, and not always? like it comes and goes... Im going to be changing the shocks over this weekend so thought i might aswell do this at the same time.

In a straight line it is USUALLY the inner. But I can't hear it so can't say for certain

It clicks as im driving it sounds like a cv to me but is there an easy way to tell if i lift the car up? :-)
