Thumbs down Help - Engine flush stuck in engine

So this morning i went to change my oil, put the engine flush in, let it idle for 15 minutes then went to drain it. For some reason my sump plug was on way too tight and i couldn't get it off for the life of me. So now i need to get my car to a garage to have them take it off and change the oil but i have engine flush still in the engine. Will it be ok to drive my car a short distance to a garage with the engine flush still in it? >.<

One option is to take the whole sump off. Otherwise see if there is someone in the club or who you know who has suitable tools to help.

What are you using to take it off with? If you haven't got a power bar or anything, just use a hammer and hit the spanner you are using.

If it comes out and is buggered, the go get a sump

Taking the sump off probably isn't an option as I have bugger all tools, my sump plug has nearly rounded off but I have a new one. Was using a wrench

Open spanner or ring end? Really should use a single hex socket to undo tight bolts etc

sounds like a perfect time to invest in proper tools then,

    cheaper than a new engine.

Had the same problem once, MMC on the North Shore used a rattle gun (or a gorilla) to tighten my sump plug - eventually called a mobile mechanic to get it off and he struggled with the good tools too.

Going to see if any Wellington members can help or I will see if I can get a mobile mechanic over. There is a mechanic down the bottom of my hill, which I could glide down to in neutral?

I drove my GDI for over 10 miles with engine flush - kept the revs to below 2,000 rpm.

I only have to go about 200 to the mechanic, 150 can be done going downhill in neutral.

I would be surprised if 200 metres at low revs would damage the engine.
