Brakes & Wheel Bearing Confusion !!!

Hi there guys, right then here's my query. I recently bought a Galant Elegance Estate 2.5 V6 (52 Plate) only 3 weeks ago. Loving the car so far but has a few things that need addressing like rear bumper required, tweeter cover passenger side, cigarette lighter these are not really important as yet so can wait. But the few major things that need sorting out ASAP are the brakes all round especially the front as the pedal pulses when you apply the brakes normally associated with warped discs, but I did read the thread on this issue on here. But also the MOT certifacate from last year says that both rear wheel bearings have slight play, can they be adjusted / tightened or is replacing them the best option. If so can people offer some assistance on which bearings are best to get for value for money as I found these on Euro Car Parts (http://www.eurocarparts.com/wheel-bearing-and-wheel-hub) but the price variation is massive why so?
Also for peace of mind are these any good to replace the front disc's and pads :- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4002792810...84.m1423.l2649

Hope you guys are able to help me out as I am finding it hard to find anything out for cars on the internet these days.

    search is your friend,

as for brakes to many threads/opinions on what to use, really depends on intended use.

just make sure you measure your rotor diameter (there are different sizes depending on year/spec) and choose the correct stud pattern (4x114.4 or 5x114.4)

Hi, thanks for the reply have had a look using the search facility and unfortunately not had much luck finding where people are getting their bearings from. Will check the disc diameter as soon as I can but only need brakes for normal to slightly spirited driving so believe those brakes should be fine. Have checked the Firstline catalogue for prices and they are coming up at around £60 each for front and rear. Yeah my mate and I did notice the 4 Stud pattern I have on my car and we both thought it a tad strange for a car of this size.

Is there any bearing manufacturers that you guys on here would recommend, as like I said am having no luck searching the net for anything these days

Price variation could be down to if it is the hub assembly or just the bearing itself.

SKF and Timken are well known quality companies, but TBH I haven't heard of a bad manufacturer.

Many of us get hubs from the states, as the hubs are common with several cars out there and they can be got much cheaper than over here. I think your 4 stud setup means that avenue isn't open to you though.
