TD04L-13T (subaru) turbo adapter kit, p&p - manifolds, downpipe elbows

It was so many time expressed here and there that some of us may be interested in easy adopting Subaru TD04 turbos.
Sooo.... after some search by me and kochajj we had found manufacturer in Poland who is willing to produce required components, similar to pictured below kit for Mitsi 3000GT:
    TH11029 5.jpg

Our kit (of your choice) would be:
    1. Tubular stainless steel manifolds (front and rear). 500 GBP
    2. Exhaust elbows (front and rear) connecting to downpipe, made of stainless steel. 220 GBP

All components will be water cut, CNC machined, and welded in argon to the highest standard. Wall thickness is 2mm. Manufacturer also offers guarantee for his products.

This kit will have Subaru flanges and will be p&p with Subaru Impreza TD04L-13T making no hassle with turbo upgrade.

Yes, everything will be made to a very high standard. Even welding in somekinda argon gas chamber etc. (to be honest I have no idea what I'm talking about )
Very soon will be finished trial version, once fitted to kochajj's Legnum will do more pictures with ready product.
I know, expensive, but worth every penny.

Cost looks good for what you get IMO. I know how much I put into mine getting it right & it's far more than this. If anyone is interested in these kits it might be worth a trip to the mini meet in Cambridge to see check out how different it feels. Good work Tomasz
Possibly the only VR4 that was driven by the current owner before being registered..... & it's a UK car

thats cheap for manifolds. only worry would be if the td04 wastegate accuators will fit. i know that was a issue when carl put his td04's on his galant recently. as the housings and core needed to be rotated to have the respective inlets and outlets facing the right way the accuator had to be cut off and rewelded on in a different position to function correctly. Mayby he may be able to post up some photos?

I can be done. Rear turbo actuator itself requires mount adapter flange to compressor side, push rod been bent to required angle and little extended. Front turbo actuator will require to be located on custom bracket sitting on a gearbox and push rod require quite long extensions. It took me 4 hours to work out and made it work, IMO not bad.

No need for that. Simply rotate compressor side vs. hot side to get desired alignment.
"Locking pin" has to be removed. .

The issue I had with the adapter for the front tub was getting it just right so the actuator would fit but mount would clear the front engine mount. Bit of faffing about but agree that no extra welding needed to be done to it

Edited: also might be worth considering ceramic coating. I ended up getting mine done due to the heat & everything being that much tighter, especially around the alternator

external gates add a lot more cost. and require different manifolds but will give you finer boost control and stability at the end of it

I'd also be interested. I would not want to lose the aircon pump though, which I know makes everything awkward for aftermarket manifolds.

    Nope. Not worth a hassle.
We got Scubi turbos option to reduce costs of conversion. These turbos are internal wastegate.
Manifolds would much more complicated, hence more expensive.

The whole point is to make it almost p&p bolt-on. So, everything around should remain untouched.
It will however involved some fiddling with turbo itself (alignment of hot/cold side and wastegate actuator relocation), which is not a big deal.

I've already been playing with scooby TD04's - they are clocked and bolted to stock manifolds. But I never got the time to sort out the elbows from the tubs to the downpipes. It was going to be tight with the air con pump. The other issue with just bolting the tubs to the stock manifolds is the oil filter hanger and the tubs compressor housing both need to be in the same place!

What is the status of these? Are they already made or do you need enough interested parties to start production?

    Nothing ready yet.
Apparently @kochajj is looking after this project in Poland, but have heard nothing from him for a long time unfortunately.
