    Changing Stereo Language

Does anyone know if its possible to change the language of the standard entertainment system from Japanese on an import? Either through settings on the unit or by reprogramming?

It's probably possible! But hugely expensive.

I do recall there being an English boot disc for the MMCS knocking around, but I think it was limited in what it changed - a lot of the controls remain in Japanese. Due to the technical differences, there is no known way of getting the sat nav part to work outside of Japan, either.

Nev, can the sat nav control in the front cigarette lighter be changed to a cigarette lighter?

The discs are commonly for sale in NZ on Trademe. Not sure how much they actually translate though.
