Also @Gly can you comment on the quality of the evo style hood you got? and do you know if brads monster hood has the air inlet on the passenger side like the pic i linked in post #7 as i cannot see from the picture in brads "garage" and thats the only pic i could find of it

I got my evo hood from speedfactory and looks good to me. Had no issues with it besides the courier dropped the first one and split it in two.

no probs/complaints about quality, it fitted and ligned up nicely,
it did get a bit lifty? on the front corners at higher than legal speed, so i would get a set of bonnet catches to keep it down at speed.

sorry cant remember if the monster bonnet brad got had the side vent or not.

Aerotech dont do the Monster bonnet just the evo style one as far as I know (although it would be easier as they are local to chch), and from that pic i dont like the way they are as they dont have the proper lip infront of the vent. and the lip is what causes the low pressure over the vent to drag the hot air out of the engine bay, which is mainly why I want one.

right that picture sells it. Im definatly in for a monster hood as long as the price isnt stupid but 750 aint bad. be good to see if you can get us a discount @Oggie.
Or like I said earlier if someone wants a set of cams Ill send them cams + some cash in exhange for a monster hood or cams and valve springs + a bit of cash my way in exchange. make it a win win situation

Whoever is enquiring, can you ask what the weight difference is between the CF and GF versions? If it is anything significant, I would spend the extra and go CF (I don't have any qualms painting CF )

I dont think there is enough weight saving to merit the extra $450 but Id still be intrested to know what it is if there is any.
CF is also only marginly stronger for the cost compared to FG (if both have equally good weave and construction)

also the CF isnt all CF,
its just a CF overlay on the fibre glass.

Got word back. they wanted a picture of the hood so I sent them a copy of the one I have attached.


Also mentioned there is a few of the lads in nz that are after one. some want cf others like my self want fg, and with luck they should get back to me in a day or so.

bad, we can re-clear it for you if you don't want to change to other
bonnet. how many club member interest and would like to go for it? We go
