Are these a good Replacement for Sport alloys ?

    Hey Fellas,

I've spent a while reading lots of alloy related threads tonite (eyes watering !) I've been looking for some replacement alloys for my sport for a while
as mine are buckled, I really like lenso rs5 and finally found some that are 4x114.
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230882714574

The tyres they currently have on them are 205-40-17 (too small) I have good 215-45-17 tyres on my current alloys so I want to swap them over, does
anyone know the width of the sport alloys ? I'm guessing they are 7J ??, I just want to make sure the lenso's are not thinner than the sport alloys and that they'll take the 215-45 tyres.

Also the seller told me the offset is 42, I've read some threads saying 35-40 ideally and the odd one saying 42 is ok, does anyone have any experience of wheels with 42 offset ? will they look ok ? not sunk into the arches ?

Any advice would be really helpful as I'm looking to snap these up quickly if they're suitable.

    Cheers,
    A

just buy a set of 10mm spacers and youll be fine bud.

if your running 215's id guess the current wheels are 7j, i had 215's on my 8's so theyll definately fit a 7.

Ask seler what is the size of centre bore, IIRC we need 67.1 to fit on hubs.

Cheers for the replies fellas, the centre bore is 70 so I guess I could pay a few quid to get the tyres swapped over, spigot rings and spacers sorted.
I just want to make sure I'm not replacing an 8j wheel with a 7.
