    Jacks/Trolley Jacks

I've measured my clearance just with lowering springs in the front and there's no way that I will be able to get a normal trolley jack under it.

So for the lowered people out there, which I assume is most of you haha, what kind of jack/trolley jack do you have?

Costco do an aluminum one and a steel one
Both are about £90 when on offer but about £100 normal price.
ally is 2 ton, steel 3 ton.
Both are low entry, high lift. I have had an ally one for about 3 years, one of the best thing I have bought forthe car.
The ally one is like the Clarke racing jack you can buy all over the place, but he Clarke one is only 1.25 ton.

    Hope this helps

Sorry didn't see you were NZ.

Drive it onto a block of wood under 1 wheel. That will give you the clearance you need to get a normal trolley jack under it

I step by step, (4*2 by 4*2) have to get mine onto 3 4*2's to get a jack under mine, its not just clearance issues, but also depth issues as the arm of the jack hits the skirts as it comes up!!

I have to go step by step as only one 4*2 (CLS so 44mm*96mm) will fit under my bumper or skirt at a time.

Can u tell its fun jacking my car up

I used to waste so much time doing a little jacking all round to get the high enough to get a normal jack under the car before getting into the air so I can get axel stands under the can abouyt 30 min each time. So i made the investment in a propper jack and never looked back. It now takes 2 mins to get it up on 4 axle stands so it is high enough to slip under it. Those little jobs are now properly little jobs.

You could always make the car higher... my standard trolley jack is 14cm at its lowest point, and that made it under my side skirts when the car was originally sitting on its ass.

I dont think I could ever raise my car to normal height. It just looks so rude with all that wheel gap haha
