Rolling Road Day - Eurospec, Guildford - Saturday 23 February 2013

The event poll is now closed - the event is booked with Eurospec as Saturday 23rd February 2013

Hopefully this will be as successful as the last rolling road events and give some newer members a chance to see that social events are good before the 10th anniversary event in April.

What the graphs will show -
Power/Torque at the wheels vs RPM
power/Torque at the flywheel vs RPM
    AFR vs RPM
    Boost vs RPM
EGT and knock signals will also be available

    3 power runs per car

The cost will be £35 per car if over 13 cars are present on the day and £40 if less than 13 but more than 5.

Drinks and snacks will be available on site. Food will be available one way or another - either delivered pizza for a donation, or if there are enough attendees than a burger van can be bullied into attendance.

Eurospec are based in Guildford, Surrey - www.euro-spec2000.co.uk

Please mention on here if you are attending and if you are having a power run - this is so Ben knows how busy his day will be as well as making the day look exciting for the rest of us!

If your attendance is dependant on the actual date, then please feel free to wait until the poll finishes next week before you commit on here.

    See you there!

I'm up for this but Id like a bit of bodge it know how!! I plan on jacking all 4 corners of my car and placing a piece of 4*2 on top of the upper arms so it temporarily raises the car to get on and into the dyno although this may sound stupid can anyone forsee any reason this would be dangerous?

    Exceptionally low!

As for the pushbike - I believe it has been done by Ben already, achieving something like 3.5bhp! It is the reason that the Swift does not hold the record for lowest power vehicle on the Eurospec dyno, but I do at least (AFAIK!) still have the record for lowest powered car!

Side skirts are about 40mm from the floor, front bumper has maybe 50mm clearance

If it made it up the ramp, which it won't, when it drops into the rollers the skirts will hit the floor!

That is low indeed! I'm kind of worried about mine now as it too is quite low.

    Hehe

Gasbagging is the same as gassing, chatting, talking rubbish, etc. (I think it's a cross between gassing and windbag!). Which is what so many of us are good at...

There are other more crude definitions too, but this is the one I meant!

Atik - I'd be amazed if your car won't get on the rollers. Darrens car must be ridiculously low!
Darren - you'd have to talk to Ben about how to get the car on the rollers. I have no idea where you are talking about putting the blocks of wood, but I'd be worried about a block of wood bending something, especially if it was shock loaded.
