Now that you mention it, mine was dropping out of 2nd into first abruptly, and wouldn't stay in 2nd at low speeds. I've since replaced the box with a manual though.

Mine, when crawling slowly, will drop back down from 2nd to 1st at ~6-7mph - but everything else is perfect.
I dug out the AYC ECU today from the Super - Nev, I'll bring it back with me, so will get it to you soon.
My dad believes that the 2nd line of numbers printed on the sticker on the outside may be a firmware version number, so even with the same model number of ECU, the software version may be different, and may explain some differences in behaviour.
Anyhoo - you can test the AYC ECU from the Super, if it's any different to the one you've got, and see whether it makes any differences - all of these ECUs communicate with each other and share sensors... so it makes sense if software versions may be slightly different...
Yes mine will do the same drop from 2nd to 1st at low speeds even if it's selected via tip. It's the factory fitted transmission and ECU as well.
I've also found that mine seems to 'flare' or skip slightly when going from first to second at high RPM - not sure if anyone else has this issue.
Yeah, I figured the drop from 2nd to 1st at low speeds was expected. The abrupt drop from 2nd to 1st while putting the boot in however, really put the ****s up me!
Problem solved!
Well, by fitting a prefacelift box again...
PFL auto ECU refitted too. And instant brilliance was observed! Super-smooooth changes, spot-on rev-matching, changes down gears in D when coasting downhill! No fuzzy changes observed so far, and that's straight out of the box (pun semi-intended)!
There may have been a fix to be able to use the FL box correctly, but it was becoming apparent that more and more time would be consumed in actually finding the solution, as it is not as straightforward as simply swapping the gearbox ECU over. Shame, I would have liked to have found the exact solution so that there could be a step-by-step guide and parts list on what is required.
