    Skydiver's Galant VR-4 project

When I bought this car from UK 2008 it was in rather good condition but also few major and a lots of minor things needed to be fixed. One thing led to another and to make a long story short I wanted to rebuild the whole car and do a my kind of version of it. Project started three years ago and it's gonna be ready for this summer. If you don't like any kind of changes to the interior or the exterior and you think these cars are perfect in every way as they are then these pics might cause you some sort of shocking effect, headache, heart failure etc. Just trying to say that you've been warned...

Some sort of a list what has been done:
    Soda blasted body
    Custom made widebody kit
Sand blasted underbody, 2K epoxy and sealing
    Custom made polyurethane bushes
    BC FC53 wheels 20”/9,5” and 20”/11”
Dunlop SP Sport Maxx 235/30/20 and 285/25/20
    Brembo upgrade, candy red paint
    BC racing BR coilovers
Loads of parts under the car were changed (hubs, driveshafts, arms, steering parts etc.)
    Adjustable front upper arms

JDM headlights converted to bi xenon lights with the red devil option
    All lights clear coated
Loads of new parts (mouldings, weatherstrips, windshield class, rear window class, etc.)

Engine bay and loads of engine related parts fully cleaned with Annitrol
2K epoxy primer and black satin paint
Practically all bolts changed or painted
    Red silicone hoses
    Carbon engine cover
Lots of other new parts (radiator, AC parts, wiring, relays, windscreen wiper motor etc.)
    Remapped ECU
    Autobahn FMIC (TLTD ceramic coated)
3” downpipe (RPW), 3” metallic high-flow catalysator, 3” exhaust pipe, silencer 3” in and 2x2,5” out
    Innovate wideband lambda
    Walbro 255

Custom made full leather interior from top to bottom (dark brown/cream)
Practically all the other parts inside the car are special coated to match with the leather interior

    Carputer
    CTF800-WMSL - VGA 8.0" (16:9) Touchscreen
    2 x CTF700-SHM - VGA 7" TFT – Touchscreen
    Audison bit one
    Mosconi AS 300.2, 200.2 and 100.4
    2 x Audio-system HX10 phase
    GladenAudio Aerospace 165.3
    2 x Optima Yellow Top
Wiring meets the requirements of the EMMA rules

    And here is some pics:

Crazy! Mad! Great! Some of the work looks very similar to what I'm currently doing with my newly acuired V6 N/A that I've labelled 'Monster' because it currently is and looks like a (hideous) monster but what it will become will be a Monster too (in the good way). A very tame monster compared to your work here Harri! Respect for all the time, money and ideas + skills you put into this project! I'd love it if you put some updates on here too, even just mentions about what you've done and then link to pics on the Finnish site!

Thanks! It's always nice to hear a positive feedback!

I've been having a pretty clear idea for a long time what kind of mods I want to do and how it should look like. At the beginning I thought I could do all the mods by myself but I was little bit too optimistic with it. I feel lucky to have few friends who are helping me a lot with this! I couldn't do this amount of work by myself or at least it would take a lot more time do it. I'm sure the exterior wouldn't look as balanced as it is with out Jani's macig touch (Diablo Desing)... So thanks guys (Matti, Henri, Markus, Anders)!

Looking good man, have only looked on my phone as of yet tho.

The front bumper? Is it custom made or is it an aftermarket one that's been altered?

Thanks again! I'm really satisfied how the wide body kit fits to it and I can't wait to get the car in to the paint booth and spray it. As you can see from the earlier pics we tried a couple of versions of it but this one was the favorite. The first one started to look like the DTM Calibra so it was immediately out of the question.

About the front bumber... It's an aftermarket bumber from the Dolphin's body kit. It's a fibreglass bumber so it's a bit easier to put more fibreglass to it without the fear it will crack some day. A friend of mine crashed their Legnum with the moose (no people were harmed, just one big moose died) and the bumber was in a pretty bad shape because of it but it was perfect for my purposes. I wanted to use original foglights so this one has the places for them.

It starts to like a car also from the rear even though there's still a lot to do.

We have been trying to find a better option for the bonnet since the "evo style" bonnet is more "racing style" and the rest of the car is something else than "racing". As you know there's not so many different kind of bonnets to buy so Jani made our own version of the Mustang style bonnet. We are going to paint the evo bonnet but this one will be made too and it's much better looking already and fits to the style we are looking for.

    this is looking great,
but if it was my car, once i had finished it, i would be too frightened to take it and give it a blat down the road or park it in a car pack in case it got pranged, the insurance company would never be able to do anything else than write it off if it got a bumper graze. there is so much work gone into it, i would scared.
