That's the risk always but I need to give it a go and I'm trying to avoid those the most obvious places where accidents happens. We'll see how it goes then. :-)

    Thumbs up

is it going to be a daily driver or a show car?

if the outside finish is anything like the inside then you could happily enter it in the car show arena and expect a good result.

    Bye for Now!

It's going to be both. These cars aren't made for to keep them in the garage and only to take them out to the show room and back. I made quite many mods to make it better on the road and I want to take it there as much as possible. But in the winter I won't use it since I have two other Galants in the garage which are much better in snowy conditions.

The outside finish will be pretty good and it's definitely ready for the showroom. After the candy paint and the clearcoat layers we'll wait 2-4 weeks, sand it and spray few harder clearcoat layers on it. Then I take it to a really good detailer who polishes it properly... Be prepared "Lateshow".

In the UK its extremely hard for insurance companies to write off fully modified cars, my friends 306 has a led rear light conversion, its a phase 2 diesel 306 and when the rear bumper got scraped it cost about 2500 to repair but as they cannot place a price on the value of the car they cannot write it off

So his car was repaired and he is still modifying.

Personally if I park my show car anywhere I park at the back of the car park diagonally across two bays so no idiot can park next to me.

Never underestimate the idiots... Somehow they find the way to park their car next to mine even if it was the only car in the car park. When this car is ready I'm going to ask the price for the fixed insurance for it but it's possible in only one insurance company here in Finland and prices are much higher. But there's the "tuning taxes" you have to pay if you want to have a fully modified car.

That looks awesome Harri! You do realize that you will not be able to drive the car whenever the sun is shining right?!
In my Legnum (RIP) I upholstered the centre console in white leather plus the clock top panel. That last one lit up like a christmas tree whenever the sun was shining! I would have replaced it with an original black one if the car didn't went fubar.

Yeah I know the consequences and there's a very good reason why the dash board is originally dark coloured... But I still couldn't resist that colour.

One big part of the project is now ready and the next stop is the paint shop. I can't thank enough the Diablo Design to pull this through. Some new pics: http://www.mitsubishiclubfinland.com...1882&g2_page=6

Amazing craftsmanship there, excellent attention to detail. Once you have a set of alloy wheels with the correct offsets this car will be up there with the TRD supra! Which wheels are you thinking of buying? If this was my project I would be inclined to buying a set if SSR Professor SP1's!

    Keep up the good work!!!

Thanks Kamal! SSR wheels looks really great but when I saw the first time BC racing wheels I knew which wheels I want to have to this project. So the choice is:

    BC FC53 wheels 20”/9,5” and 20”/11”
Dunlop SP Sport Maxx 235/30/20 and 285/25/20

    And they look like this:

    It'll be aggressive.

This car is now in the paint shop and guys are doing great job there. There's a lot to do still but part by part it's getting ready for the paint.
