possibly breaking car - should I?

So iv dinted my car on the rear quarter quite badly. I was planning on selling the car soon anyway but looking at prices that there going for I wouldnt get much for it at all, especially with the damage plus the 100k+ milage so I was thinking of breaking it. I think id get more money that way and also help some other galants stay on the road longer. The rest of the panels, interior and engine are all in good condition.would you guys recomend breaking it, How easy is it to shift parts? its a 2003 Elegance V6, full leather, Manual.

It depends on what you have got? Wheels can fetch some money, as can bumpers. If the leather is black that might be worth some money too. Mechanically very little is shared with the VR4 so not much will be worth good money there.

Black leather usually sells, but the tan has been given away recently
As for the rest, I guess it would just depend on how soon you need to shift it?

How much do you hope to make back?
Figure out how much it would sell for repaired minus repair cost and what its worth now

sell the engine and gearbox to someone who wants to upgrade a FTO or colt etc. it can be done and they seem to go for V6 if they dont get a VR4 engine

other bits and pieces depend on what you are planning to do next. FL bumper, bonnet and grille might be useful so someone like me who prefers FL to PFL which was my main reason to break my V6 for parts. it was cheaper to use what i had than to sell the car and buy what i wanted. lights are worth selling on. MOMO steering wheel, fascia, any wear and tear items that are reasonably new like downpipes for example. everyone wants to save a few quid so see if you get any interest here or on ebay. its always worth a try

Would the Manual gearbox in a GALANT V6 do for a AUTO to Manual conversion on a FL GALANT VR4 TYPE S?
