COTM - February - Submissions

Hi all,

Each month we will choose the best image and this will be used in the 2014 Calendar, not as the main image though, it will be a smaller picture to the side of the main picture.

General Rules:

1. The Ride of the Month team will put up a thread on the 1st of each month. (bit late this month )
Submissions will be accepted until the 21st of each month. After the 21st, a poll will be setup and results posted after the polls close at the end of each month.
2. You must own the car or it can be owned by a family member and/or significant and/or insignificant other.
3. No commercial advertising of any kind allowed when submitting pictures, ie. no license plates from commercial vendors or sponsors.
4. Keep it clean. Cars only (No bathing suit models, etc).
5. Only Galants and Legnums are eligible for the contest.
6. Only one picture at a time can be submitted.
7. In case of a tie, the moderators will cast the deciding vote.
8. Images submitted for COTM cannot be submitted for the 2014 Calendar.

Please try to think about composition and the location of your shot - Pictures of a car in a carpark don't usually cut it

It's good Alex, nice angle - could have maybe done with a bit more space left and right .

Good month worth of submissions here guys, keep it up - remember to think about composition, location and angles etc.

I am hoping to get a great shot of my Rednum for March. Meeting a good friend of mine who is a car nut and a great photographer as part of the 24 hour race in a couple of weeks so if we get time, I'll bug him for a few shots. Does it matter if the shot is tweaked in Photoshop afterwards? My car is not in the best of conditions cosmetically so will need to touch up some of the blemishes.

There was some beautiful scenery here over the last few days. I'm certain I could have got a better shot if I was a bit more arty!
The photo looks better bigger than it does as a thumbnail though.

Thanks Andy it was just to show the FMIC that i had just fitted will get a better shot maybe on the rollers on the 23rd
