    Advice needed please!!!

Had my leggy for a few weeks now and I have this annoying issue.

Its a non converted manual, when you put your boot down it gets to around 5.5k-6k revs and starts jolting, then will carry on going. It doesn't do it when your steady through the throttle only when planted.

So i first thought a vac pipe?

Then i thought it seams more like fuel starvation. So i thought maybe the filter might be cruddy and changed this and ran a cleaner through it. Little bit of difference but still jolts. Could it be the fuel pump starting to fail?

Could it be as simple as the plugs or leads? But i thought this would be on start up and pretty much all the time.

Any other ideas or anyone had the same problem?

    Cheers

Sound like fuel cut to me.

What boost level are you running. Is it factory normal or do you have some sort of after market boost control on it?
Fuel cut is designed to protect the engine from going bang.
When the ecu detects certain perameters occurring within the engine it shuts up shop and just stops the fuel completely, then start the fuel again, and everything kick back into life.

Has it only started doing this since the weather turned really cold in the last few days?

No its since i had it. About 3 weeks. But the chap i bought it from hadn't used it for a couple of months and i guess just started it up now and again. He was in his late 60s so thought it could have been driven easy too.

So i thought it might of sorted it self out with being driven a bit more. But it hasnt

That was also one of my thoughts. Will have to do a full investigation. Trial and error I guess.

Finally got the jolting sorted. Down to plugs. Don't look like they were ever changed and were sitting in oil. New seals and plugs fitted. Runs like a dream.
