I've traded this car in to EMG motors in Cambridge, they tell me it will be on the forecourt next week. (wc 25th Feb)
They are showing it for a while then will put it into auction. If anyone is interested, got along to EMG and have a look.
I'm not sure what price they are going to put it on for- once I see it I'll update the post
Details are:
UK Ralliart estate, no mods at all.
Not got roof rails
Full Mitsu service history to 2009.
4 recent tyres, recent MOT (new front pads)
Its been the most reliable beast I've ever had- always started first time (apart from the time I left the lights on over night!)
Previous owners:
Mitsubishi demo, one bloke, then me since 2003.
Embarrassed to say I haven't driven it hard, not done any track days, etc.
Ralliart mats
Galant roof rack provided
2 sets of keys (keys, immobiliser disabler dongles, remote fobs)

Modifications.

None

I've given EMG all the manuals, MOT certs, etc, PM me if you have any questions.

Bad bits

Wheels a bit corroded
Some bits of rust around the door buffers
Lash adjusters rattling, as per normal!
Few scuffs, had a few repaint patches- difficult to spot though.
Leather seats good condition, apart from driver seat scuffs.
Remote control key fobs provided, but batteries need replacing.

I cant see it creating a lot of interest to the general public. Who wants to buy a 13yr old car with twin turbos, nobody knows nothing about them, only dicks like us i suppose. Could well be a bargain as you say! Get down there Dave.

went down a through months back and a few scoobys went through for around £600 , not bad nick either , will be keeping my eye out for sure when this comes up .

Be interesting to know if they put a reserve on it- I was pretty happy with PX-ing it for an RX-8, but then you never know what the dealers margins are and how much they paid for the RX-8 in the first case. Still doesn't seem to be listed...

make sure you stop the rx8 correctly (give it a little throttle before turning engine off) or engine rebuild wont be to far round the corner .

The later RX8 don't really have that problem.

The main concern is flooding!!

Out of interest, how much did they offer you as px against the RX8?

Difficult to tell what the real amount was- the RX-8 was on for 9750 and I paid 6200, so 3550, in theory. Not sure what I would have been able to haggle the 9750 down to if I wasn't PX-ing. Similar RX-8 (2009, 19k miles R3) are on autotrader for about the same price, so I dont think they were being too greedy at 9750. Not sure what a 2000 Ralliart VR-4 with 80k and last mitsu service in 2009 with get me on a private sale either!

The problem I have now is I cant bring all my crap down to the dump now- Galant was handy that way!

hasnt shown up at all , have been keeping a close eye and will carry on anyway , i am up there a bit anyway as it literally is on the same road as me just a few miles down it .
