    Lamda sensor wiring

    Hi all

My car is missing the wiring harness to the lambda sensor. The sensor is installed just not connected to anything. Anyone have a clue about the sensor connecting points on the ECU and the harness routing?

    Thanks

This connector must be somewhere around the ECU, unless someone cut it out for no reason
If it's really gone, I can tell you how to wire it up again

When I had a look the four-wire white connector is there but not connected to anything and I couldn't find any free connections on the two ecu's

Allright, your description was kinda wrong Your car is missing no harness to the lambda. Your lambda is missing it's harness to the car!

This is "male" connector from ECU towards lambda sensor.

What you need is a defect lambda sensor, which can donate you the "female" connector, which you wire up with the sensor in your exhaust and plug in the connector from your picture.
Otherwise you'll just need a new lambda sensor...

Yep, Alex is spot on. That photo shows the connector on the car side of the loom for the lambda sensor. That is where the lambda sensor should be plugged in. Where does the wire from the lambda sensor go?

OK good to know I am not missing anything major. The lambda sensor is installed on the exhaust and there is a short wire with connector(about 30-40cm long) there just not connected. So where does it route through in order to get to the empty connector on the picture? Do you have a pic of the routing through the floor-pan? Or is there an intermediate cable between the 2?

The hole for the lambda is in the centre of the gear tunnel just above the exhaust and prop at tail end of transfer box.
