Cheapest way to ship from UK to NZ?

Seeing as we have extensive membership in both the UK and NZ, perhaps someone can point me in the right direction

I have something to ship to NZ. 15kgs, so quite weighty. £170 from Royal Mail and not much less through a courier (needs to be insured as well)

    Any tips?
Believed to be the only PFL Legnum parked on my drive unless you know otherwise.

What are the package dimensions? That seems to be an issue as well.

Also, how urgent are we talking, as surface mail products may be suitable and cheaper.

Using Parcel2Go.com, Fedex World Economy (about 5 days) costs £91.87, without knowing the value of the contents, which may push it up a bit. Is that sufficiently better?

i am not sure if it applies to NZ as well but i sent an ECU to AU and it only cost about £9 (30cmx30cmx15cm) because the royal mail has very special rates as it used to be one of the colonies and there are a lot of ex pats.

    Bye for Now!

i think weight of the pacage is the killer for shipping stuff, not physical size. less than a 1kg and it should be cheap.

^ Check whether it'd be any cheaper to send as multiple packages. (Assuming clutch/flywheel?)

i have the same problem here...

i really really want to buy bigger parts e.g. bumper/skirts, etc from here in uk but dont know how to send it to my location (indonesia) without having to pay high rates...
it actually doesnt matter if it's a surface shipping / take longer to arrive as long as it has lower rate, but the problem is i dont know any of that kind of shipping..

    any info guys? thx

I either use parcels2go or UK Mail. I use UK Mail for everything in the UK as they tend to be very competitive with great insurance cover but hit and miss for over seas. Sometimes parcels2go are loads cheaper, other times UK Mail are the cheapest. Certainly worth a call though
Possibly the only VR4 that was driven by the current owner before being registered..... & it's a UK car
