    Legnum MPG

Hi - new poster! Very interested in purchasing a Legnum VR-4 V6. Just curious what the MPG is? Are there any official figures? I see some people posting that they're getting 15-20mpg which isn't that great unless they're being driven enthusiastically of course! Thnaks.

That's probably about right if driven hard, can be less than that sometimes. On a run, keeping to legal speeds and not accelerating hard, you can get upper twenties and maybe low thirties. There is a wide range of estimation, due to different driving techniques. But ya can't help giving some!!!! Hope you find a nice one and enjoy it, welcome Mike.

280-300 miles from a 70 quid fill up whatever mpg that works out to be! That is what I seem to get out of mine on a normal week. If I have been a bit too enthusiastic that drops to more like 220 from a tank!

Your definition of enthusiastic leaves a lot to be desired, if you get as much as 220 miles by doing it!

just thought i would mention this, not as a criticism just as a warning that one persons tank is not the same as someone else's tank.
please also remember that when the red light comes on for low fuel it is indicating there is about 10L of fuel left in the tank.

this is another MPG thread that people are talking miles per tank. this is meaningless. mile per litre, or miles per gallon, etc is the only way to talk about this subject in a meaningful way.
miles per £40 is meaningless also fuel prices vary across the country by about 10p per litre which changes the result massively.

rant over just thought i would point it out.

    Bye for Now!

If you are thinking about buying a vr4, expect 16 mpg. You may get more, but don't expect it. That way you won't be upset or disappointed if you do get 16 mpg!

What the hell is going on with my legnum then!

When I bought the car it was near on empty, so I filled it up to over full (if I recall about 48ltr) it has only managed 158.7 miles and that was driving it very easily (town driving top speed over here is 40mph), what could be causing such high fuel consumption?

    Any ideas guys.

    Cheers

    Kevin
