    making rear suspension stiffer

My cars lowered on apex spring with What I think are standard struts. I like the stance but when I have weight in the back, even just a little bit the back goes quite low and although handles ok still, looks a bit silly. Is there anyway of stiffening the back a bit with just raising it back up, maybe some struts from a legnum or something?

    cheers guys

I've been looking into this today aswell. I have Tein's set as firm as they can go & still don't feel firm enough. Only thing I could find is kits used for cars when towing. Either rubber spacers or additional inner springs but don't know whether they are a good idea for long term as can't seem to find anyone thats used them that isn't towing. Might give them a go though...
Possibly the only VR4 that was driven by the current owner before being registered..... & it's a UK car

They sound like an ok idea as i am planning on getting a trailer. I will look into that, but was thinking along the lines of stiffer or self leveling shocks. Not sure what options they are though other then adjustable coil overs that cost more then the car

I've been looking for something similar as well (except I want to maintain standard height) - the only thing I could really find was damper adjustable shocks to make it all stiffer, or a higher spring rate.

Many years ago (!) I had towing assister springs on mine. They do raise the back a little and give that raked look. Handling was very good. There is a but though, they fit inside the OEM spring which is wider than tein etc so will not fit with these. Don't know about apex. Oddly, after a long time storing them in my garage after fitting teins, I recently threw them away .

    Similar to these (kit C)

Cheers andrew. I have come across these on my search and they seem quite good. But expensive and as you say, may not fit aftermarket springs. I think i might give them rubber things a try...

Apex springs are designed for Galant n/a and are way too soft for vr4. Bin them!
    Ex: Galant VR4
Running 268 HP ATW and 443 Nm torque at 0.9 bar
    Now: Lancer Evolution 8 FQ-300
Running 325 HP ATW and 510 Nm torque at 1.6 bar
