    Non VR-4 brake compatibility question

Hi everyone. I’m planning to replace the front pads and rotors on my 25ST, and before going and ordering straight from Japan, I was wondering if there are any models which share the same components. It’s a 4 bolt pattern(4x114) so there aren’t very many options. early model Lancer ES maybe? Thanks

edit: (thanks to whomever moved this into the proper sub category)

If you post up the chassis number, someone with ASA might be able to check some parts compatibility for you.

I would look myself, but I need to reinstall ASA and I've misplaced my ASA discs!

Nonetheless, I would have thought that things like the Mitsubishi Chariot, RVR, Space Wagon, Space Runner should be compatible somewhere along the line. I think these were sold in Canada as the Eagle Vista Wagon and Eagle Summit Wagon, so that might be a line of enquiry too.

ohh, I completely forgot about the eagles. yeah, those could work. None of the above ring a bell save for the RVR, but no new vehicles have the 4 bolt patterns as far as I know. Its probably a long shot, but thanks for your help.

All around the same age, early to mid '90s or so. Chariot (JDM) = Space Wagon (UK/EU) = Vista, and RVR (JDM) = Space Runner (UK/EU) = Summit.

So just two models really, but should share most parts.

When someone gets on with ASA, they may be able to provide more detail though.

If you buy a set of 5 stud hubs then you may open up your options. Eclipse stuff fits the 8th gen galant.

IIRC the 4 stud ST should have the 14" brake setup on front axle. This setup has a 256mm brake disc. If so, then you can go for 6G or 7G Galant brake discs as both cars had 4stud hubs and same diameter discs.

Go and measure the diameter of your brake disc and post up here. Then we can cross check possible other fitments.

    @ nick
the 5 bolt conversions would make sense, but that would cost some serious cash requiring new calipers and wheels. may as well do the back then, so easily 2-3 large.

    @Crazydriver81
I would have to find those parts in the US because Mitsubishi Canada has only been around for 10 years.

so I found another thread recently created that showed the very brakes I need. Except instead of paying 300 pounds it'll be 100 before shipping. here's the link...

I wouldn't hesitate to use Pagid discs/pads from Euro Car Parts.

Good well-known brand, and good well-known company!

Shouldn't be an issue IMO as US and Canada had the 6G and 7G Galant models. No need to source from Europe. Do you have a parts wholesaler in US or Canda for brake parts? Then go and try Galant Models from 1990 - 1996 for brake parts. you should find the needed parts then.

I was going to head down to the Lordco with the disassembled rotor, but this is great. I already placed my order with eurocarparts, and with the discount I'm paying about 125pounds, or 193CAD. The canadaparts would have been 40 bucks cheaper, but I already ordered yesterday. Thanks crazydriver for the link, I'll use this the next time I need pads.
@elnevio yeah I checked them out and read a few other forum reviews before I pulled the trigger.

    Thumbs up

According to ASA, the part number is MB928995 - DISC FR, BRAKE - 14"

Not sure how to reverse engineer this to other models though.

EDIT: Googling "MB928995" returns lots of potential Mitsubishis though
Believed to be the only PFL Legnum parked on my drive unless you know otherwise.

parts arrived from euro car parts. disks fit perfectly, but the pads were wrong. luckily the local galants had matching pads from a 94 like crazydriver said. New brakes work flawlessly. Thanks again for everyone's help.
