    Dyno run

Had a meet up with Lude Generation (a Prelude club) at the weekend, which involved a morning at PowerStation with cars on the dyno.

I decided to throw the Legnum on, just for the hell of it...

What the hell correction factor did they use? 171 WHP equates to 289 at the fly on that sheet?!

I wondered how long it'll take - 1 post has to be a record

PowerStation's dyno almost always has low "wheel" figures compared to other dynos - this is just a characteristic of the MAHA dyno which makes it almost impossible to compare wheel figures with other dynos.

With the other Preludes that were there, the 197bhp Preludes with breathing mods were getting around 200-205bhp, and the 220bhp Preludes with breathing mods were getting around 225-230bhp - and fairly similar values between similar cars.

Just seen this and the thing that jumped straight out at me was wheel power to flywheel power, according to that ratio my VR-4 should be putting out 140whp!!

You really can't compare wheel figures from this dyno - just having different tyre pressures, tyre sizes or even wheels can affect the "wheel" figures - but the Maha dynos always seem to do a reasonable job at calculating a fairly accurate "flywheel" figure.
