Gail called it a day on our relationship. 3 years together..... but all over now.
She's not been well for a while, and as much as a spoke to & tried to comfort her, she always said she was fine & we were fine...... yeah right !!
got home from work a few weeks back & her sister & partner were there................ off you gono warning.
took a few things to my mums flat [ she was in hospital ] hoping to just spend a night there, & sort things out in the morning.
went back following morning , & everything I've ever owned was bagged up ready to go.
to say I was devastated was an understatement.
Total end. as in...... total. blocked on phone... facebook... friends we socialised with. It's as though I never existed.
I went to a dark place shortly after that. never want to go there again. [ 4 days in hospital ]
I'll move on. but it's been the worst time of my life.
**** man, not good at all. The decent thing she should of done, was to at least tell/talk to you before hand. My feelings go out to you, even though we've never met.

I got black bagged on the Wednesday.... moved in to an empty flat on the Friday.
in the afternoon had a few beers [ not good ] but went back to the shop & got some strong beers [ not good again ]
I poured out an pint glass of water..... for re-hydraytion.... but put some tablets in it.

Having had the traumatic experience of someone taking their own life (my dad 11years ago) the fact that you have no recollection doesnt surprise me in the slightest. Every professional I spoke to at the time stated that someone who takes their own life generally has a part of thier brain that breaks and doesnt function. If that part did function the person would not be able to do it. I would sincerely hope you are seeing a counsellor. If not PLEASE do so your GP can arrange one. I saw one for 4 months and it helped tremendously. I am also so glad you are here talking about it, there is FAR too much stigma in this country about mental health problems you should never be afraid to talk.TY Chris...

Jeeez Derek that's awful....I for one think highly of you and I know many others on here do too, I was shocked to read this. Chin up and start writing those positives down..your at the bottom and only one way out which is UP....so all positives from here on in.
