You still haven't said what the shares are!
You still haven't said what the shares are!
Did he sell at 18p? Just had a look out of curiosity and they have dropped back to 9.5p
Good luck to him!
There's one Golden rule when playing the stocks n shares. Do Not Gamble/Invest More Than You Can Afford To Lose. Oh and as a side line, don't be greedy.
If you want a tip, checkout - Netcall.com, they have some big blue chip customers, share price currently 50 pence, been on a steady rise all year, you can also read about them at Investors Chronicle.
And do not forget what Carfantic has said-Leave a drink for the next man.
P.S
One other tip plant ur cabbages 6 inches apart.
final warning
As in you are saying that they are going to go up?
Who knows??
All I know is what I've read on the website, & talking to Vinnie.
All major shareholders inc CEO etc, have upped their holdings:
Final clinical trials are under way:
All previous trials surpassed expectation:
Vin is plotting his retirement LOL ........ but who knows ?
Spoke to Vin this morning.... 1st time for ages.
Now....... I will not begin to pretend I know what I'm on about, he lost me when he said "hello"
But... He's been really busy with his stockbroker. apparently one of the other companies he invests in, the shares were suspended. He thought he had lost a few bob !!
Turns out.... an entrepenuer has stepped in & done whatever they do with shares/companies ??
Anyway... all he said was he instantly "made a fortune" ??
I did ask how much..... to which is reply was.... I'm not saying, but it was substantial...... Jammy g!t
Lol
he made £80,000 in one day !! Taking a bit of profit this time.
Spoke to Vin yesterday.... he actually rang me at 6.30am, AFTER he had done his daily 10 mile walk !!
He has kept his stake of 6,000,000 shares in the company, due to the fact that there will be an announcement soon regarding the companies future. that could send the shares one way or the other, so he's monitoring the situation very carefully.
profit taking is normal, but Vin usually leaves his in. but this time got out quickly before the inevitable price drop.
He has reinvested in summit plc.?? their share price has dropped from 18p to 8p?? £50,000 in there.... his target is 1,500,000 shares !
& the other £30K ? ......... in his back pocket for living costs & beer money etc
were off out for a pint this week, I told him to bring his wallet LOL, he told me to bring mine too !!

there would be a lot of Capital Gains Tax to pay on a profit of that much, as much as 28%
Soon eats a big hole in those numbers.
'97 Manual Legnum in silver with some subtle mods
My first VR4 - '97 Legnum Dark Green & mean ...it was love at first sight - now sold
You don't pay gains on money that is still tied up in shares. Only if you take it out and keep it out.
People who make money, keep it. People who earn money, share it.
Live, love, learn but most of all.... Plan.
True, true. But depending on how much he has earned/removed from shares/invested in shares/lost in shares going bankrupt the tax due will change. It might not be very much or it might be loads!
I will not pretend to know what all this share dealing gobblegook is all about...... way above my head
I will speak to Vin this weekend & try & get my head around it a bit more.
As for the tax implications.... no idea, all I know is he will avoid tax at all costs !! not evasion.... just avoidance . legal.
