The description of the foam I believe is High Density, Closed cell, Neoprene. A trick to cutting is keep dipping the blade into cold water, it will glide through the foam. Great job by the way. Hope you never have to use them on the road side.
I usually keep tools in my boot or rear foot wells, the noise of things rattling around is irritating, this is an awesome idea.
