heater controls

Can anyone tell me why my heater control wont go any lower than 17 degree on the display,it blows out hot air when turned up but wont go lower than the 17.Is this because it's an import legnum?

This sounds like ordinary behaviour! I recall the UKDM Galants were the same as well.

17 is the lowest it goes.
if you want it to blow cold you have to put the air con on.
setting the temp to 17 should make the aircon switch on automatically.
if you don't put the air con on then the coldest the air will be coming out of the air vents is the outside air temp.
if you set the temp to 18 and the outside air temp is 30 the air will come out of the vents at 30, unless you put the air con on.
