tv on while moving

I have a mmcs screen in the car which ive hooked up a dvd unit to.
As most of u will no the sceen turns off( when in tv mode) when the car starts moving.
Does anyone know what triggers this it seems to turn off when the car is moving.
Is there anything i can do (A wire to cut maybe ) to disable this.
My daughter would be most greatfull on long trips away to be able to watch a movie.

It is illegal to have moving images on in the drivers view whilst the car is moving, hence why this happens. Some after market systems have to be connected to the handbrake wiring to get this to work so maybe it's the same with the MMCS ?

A mate of mine did this on a M3 its the hand brake switch as Pete has mentioned and Mr plod spotted it passing him
He was done for driving without due care and attention and a heavy fine and points

I found when in standstill traffic, if I put it in neutral - picture comes up, back into drive, picture goes off - still have sound in neutral and drive.

maybe its wired to gear shift.???

it is intigrated into the speedo as well over 3kph it turns off, you may have to put screens into the back of the seats to keep the wee one happy.
