Looking for a replacement harmonic damper, can anyone help?
Ginsters IS NOT a Cornish Pasty...
Camskill best bet
Put picture so I have a look if I've got one
Its the main crank pullie he is after
Is that the big wheel on the bottom engine?
yes kris its the crank pullie that has rubber damper built into it
I think there is one in my garage
maybe im calling it by the wrong name, the part im after bolts to the rear diff with 3x 14mm bolts, on the prop shaft end, its a large metal bracket type thing with a rubber mounted semi circle shaped chunk of steel, I shall get out in the garage and photograph it.
when my diff failed it blew a hole in the case, the debris ripped the rubber mounts, i've put it together to photograph, but its actually two parts at the moment.
you don't need it a harmonic damper on the rear diff, they stopped fitting them on later models of VR4.
there is a harmonic damper on the top engine mount, and in the crank pulley mentioned above.
Bye for Now!
just bin that you'll go 10mph faster now pmsl
I'm selling mine together with diff.
got a replacement diff thanks to swinks, if general opinion is to do without it then so be it.
13th jan shes gonna have the diff fitted, get a full service, sail through the mot (again) and be back on the road.
