Well..... you learn something new every day !!
I thought.... wrongly..... that if a company leased a car for, say, 2 year's, that's how long you had the car !
Nope.... in Dan's companies case, it goes on mileage. They have a contract with BMW.... & when that mileage is reached, the car goes back !!
Dan managed that in just over 11 months !

Becky broke down yesterday, middle lane of a dual carriageway roundabout !! With mother & baby on board.
Luckily... a couple of guys pushed her to safety. AA came & towed them to a garage. Broken clutch cable
£90 later & a day at the butterfly farm cancelled..... a new car is decided.
I just priced up for her a Toyota aygo, 5 door for just £23.50 per week !! Cheaper than Rachaels !!
No new car just yet.... a few birthdays coming up, & xmas !! New year now.
But....... my other kid, Paul ( Dans partner ) damaged a wheel on his A220.... replaced by Mercedes FOC.
On the way home, called in at an Audi dealer, & fell in love with a TT !!
Watch this space LOL !!

My dan & paul went to Ikea Saturday to pick up some bits ordered online. Perfectly normal !
On the way back, they called in at Winchester motors in Portsmouth
Mercedes slk....... Paul just looked at it & said " I'll have one of those " no test drive.... no nothing !!! Deposit paid, awaiting delivery.
To celebrate..... they called in at a travel agent & booked Florida for a fortnight, to make up for the holiday they had to cut short!!
Before they left....... a few phone calls to Brandon & john....... & loz, Brandons mum, they also booked India !!! A place i know they've always fancied going to
Later on Sunday...... they checked in at a restaurant in Southampton !
I sent Dan a failbook message suggesting they bought an oven lol
He replied by saying we have a new oven, but cooking in it means i have to clean it........ i dont do cleaning, we prefer to eat out every night !!!!

Just to update......
..... spoke to Dan, the merc Paul has bought is the 2.1 diesel slk !! Oil burner, but more ecumenical than his 220 sport. Which only did 30 mpg.
Just under £41 k !!
& ...... because its near winter, the.deposit was only £8500 instead of the £15.5k had he bought it in spring !!!
Delivery is due 4th December

So.... it's an hour off work to pick up. He is panicking a bit because it doesn't have reversing cameras like his A220 .
With all respect to Paul, driving has never been his strong point........ hence only an auto license !!

Saw Dan today at his grandma's nursing home...... he was in his old (2014) 320m.
I asked where his new 5 series was, apparently.... he broke it !!! An altercation with some street furniture apparently !
So...... he's ordered a new 5 series. I suggested an I 8 lol. New series 5 m sport due next may :-)
Having spoken to my kids last night, it looks like Dan is buying my bex a mondeo
Probably put that on expenses too !!

Well ...... when Dan said he had broken down in his spare BMW..... i presumed it was maybe a minor electrical glitch!
Nope...... catastrophic engine failure, triggered by water pump failure. Hydrolic leak caused ps failure...... computers failed to do their job & engine went boom !!!
